Removing setup component leaves folder on drive due to MSCREATE missing.
Cause:
The folder does not contain the MSCREATE.DIR file. This is a 0-byte hidden file which Setup creates to indicate the folder was created by Setup. Office 95 setup does not detect the folder(s) being removed as setup-created folders. Therefore they will not be removed when running Add/Remove programs.
Solution:
Manually delete the folder.
1) Click 'Start' todisplay the Windows 'Start' menu.

2) Select 'Programs' from the 'Start' menu.
3) Select 'Windows Explorer' from the 'Programs' menu.
4) Select the folder to be removed.
NOTE: If the folder is a sub-folder, double-click on the primary folder in the left window. (The folders and files in the directory will display in the right-hand window.)
5) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Delete' to delete the folder.
